Why it matters
Comparative data on PROMs implementation helps identify opportunities for improvement.
Example: for six adoption parameters, the share of the peer group (65, 32, 51, 35, 53 and 25 percent) and of the top performers (95, 78, 83, 97, 85 and 62 percent), and whether your hospital has reached each parameter.
- Compare against peersSee how your implementation compares across countries, specialties, and care settings.
- Learn from leading hospitalsDiscover pioneering practices of PROMs implementation globally.
- Identify opportunitiesSpot gaps and practical ways to strengthen your PROMs implementation effectively.
- Support relevant decisionsUse evidence to support your patient-centered care and quality improvement.
How it works
One dataset, cut for your individual role and guiding questions.
- Role-based perspectives
- Global comparisons
- Flexible data exploration
Explore PROMs implementation through guided user journeys tailored to different professional roles. Compare global survey data and explore specific aspects of implementation in more detail.
The data
Where do you stand?
Customize your insights.
Against the hospitals in your country. Against the ones your size. Against hospitals in your specialty, anywhere in the world. One implementation survey, answered the same way by every hospital, is what makes the comparison meaningful.

Questions
Still looking for answers?
What can I find in the database?
The database shows how hospitals implement PROMs across participating countries and regions. Explore implementation patterns, across all survey sections, including PROMs teams, instruments, data quality assurance, reporting, routine-care use, research, and value-based healthcare activity.
Results are presented as aggregated comparisons. Coverage reflects the latest completed survey cycle and the hospitals participating in it.
The platform will evolve over time to enable stronger comparisons and deeper analyses.
Who is the database for?
The database supports healthcare leaders and teams who need a clearer view of PROMs implementation.
Use it to:
- inform hospital strategy and investment priorities,
- benchmark implementation approaches against relevant peer groups,
- support quality reporting, improvement initiatives, and policy discussions.
Where does the data come from?
The database is built on structured responses to the Statista PROMs Implementation Survey. Hospitals provide information on their PROMs practices, instruments, processes, and use cases.
Where required, survey responses are supported by documentation and reviewed through Statista’s validation process. Methodology, definitions, and source information are available within the database, so users can understand what each result represents.
How often is the data updated?
The database is updated with each new survey cycle. This ensures that the insights reflect current hospital-reported PROMs implementation practices.
The latest update date and relevant survey cycle are shown in the database.
How do I search and filter the data?
Start with a guided journey tailored to your role and the decision you need to make. You can then explore further by filtering results by factors such as geography, hospital size, and clinical specialty.
These filters help you define a relevant peer group and focus on the comparisons that matter most.
Is the data validated?
Yes. Statista validates survey responses through a structured review process. For selected questions, hospitals must provide supporting documentation that is current, relevant, specific, and verifiable.
The database displays aggregated findings. It does not publish hospital-specific evidence documents.
My hospital did not take part in the survey. Can we still use the database?
Yes. You can use the database to understand PROMs implementation patterns, compare peer groups, and identify relevant practices across participating hospitals.
However, only participating hospitals can see their own submitted information in context with the aggregated benchmarks.
What does access cost, and is a trial or demo available?
Access options will be communicated at launch. To discuss how the database can support your organization and to explore available access options, contact us platformsupport@healthcare.statista.com.
